Once connected, nanoclaw can:
- Read and search your mailboxes: list conversations by folder, open a whole conversation and find messages by person, subject or text.
- Write drafts and reply drafts that wait in Drafts for you to review and send.
- Send, reply and send a draft, once you have turned sending on for that mailbox, and check whether each message was delivered.
- Mark messages read or unread, star them and move them between inbox, archive, trash and spam.
- Start domain setup and show how your domains are paid for. Domains, DNS, team access and agent permissions stay yours, in the dashboard.
The LotsMail dashboard does the whole job too: a full inbox on every device, plus domains, mailboxes, team and agent permissions. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.
You need
- A current nanoclaw installation with remote HTTP MCP support
- Administrator access to its group configuration and credential gateway
- A LotsMail API key
- A LotsMail account. You can create one during sign-in.
Connect nanoclaw to LotsMail
Add the server to your agent’s group
On the host, merge this entry into mcpServers in groups/<group-folder>/container.json. Keep the group’s existing configuration. nanoclaw mounts this file into the agent container at startup.
{ "mcpServers": { "lots-mail": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.lotsmail.to/mcp" } } }Configure the credential gateway
Create a LotsMail API key at https://www.lotstech.com/api. Store it in your installation’s credential gateway, scoped to api.lotsmail.to, and configure the Authorization header as Bearer followed by the key. Allow the agent’s group to use that connection; keep the real key out of container.json.
Start a new agent session
Restart the affected agent session so it loads the server. Ask nanoclaw “List my LotsMail mailboxes” before changing anything.
What to ask next
- “What came in for sales@ today? Summarise anything that needs a reply.”
- “Draft a reply to the latest message from the supplier and leave it for me to check.”
- “Find last month’s invoice from our supplier and tell me the amount and due date.”
- “Check whether my last email to Acme was delivered.”
If something goes wrong
- The server is configured but requests are blocked
- Check your credential gateway’s connection, group grant and network policy for api.lotsmail.to. The remote MCP entry alone does not authorize network access or supply credentials.

nanoclaw and LotsMail: questions
How do I connect nanoclaw to LotsMail?
Follow the nanoclaw setup above to add https://api.lotsmail.to/mcp. Configure your LotsMail API key using the credential settings shown. Then ask “List my LotsMail mailboxes”.
Is nanoclaw the same installation as OpenClaw?
No. They are separate projects and runtimes. Follow nanoclaw’s group configuration and credential-gateway steps above; OpenClaw has its own MCP setup.
Do I need an API key to use LotsMail with nanoclaw?
Yes. Create one at https://www.lotstech.com/api and keep it out of chats, logs and committed files. Where nanoclaw offers sign-in, use that instead.
What does LotsMail cost?
Current plans and prices are on https://lotsmail.to/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.
Can my agent send email without me?
Only if you turn on sending for that mailbox. Sending is off until you do. With read or draft access your agent can search, read and write drafts that wait in Drafts for you to review and send.
Which mailboxes can my agent open?
Only the mailboxes you can open yourself. For each one you choose what agents may do: read and search, write drafts, or send. Owners do not get private mailboxes by default.
Can I limit who my agent emails?
Yes. A mailbox can be restricted to a list of addresses it may send to, and any other recipient refuses the whole send. Only a workspace owner or admin changes restrictions, in the dashboard.
Can my agent change my domain or DNS?
No. It can start domain setup, which gives you the steps and the dashboard link. Domains, DNS, billing, team access and agent permissions stay with you, in the dashboard.
The server is configured but requests are blocked
Check your credential gateway’s connection, group grant and network policy for api.lotsmail.to. The remote MCP entry alone does not authorize network access or supply credentials.
