"Unlimited business email accounts" means two different things. LotsMail, Migadu and Purelymail let you add as many mailboxes as you like for one price, and limit storage or sending instead. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Fastmail, Proton and Hostinger charge for every mailbox, so "unlimited" there means you can keep buying them.
I read each provider's own pricing and limits pages on 22 October 2026 (LotsMail rechecked on 26 October 2026). Below is what each one actually caps, so you can see where the real limit sits before your team or client list grows.
The short version
| Provider | You pay for | Mailboxes (people) | Extra addresses | Domains | Where the real limit is |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LotsMail | Each domain | Unlimited | Unlimited | 1, 5 or 20 included by plan; extra domains at your plan's rate | 10 GB shared storage and 1,000 outbound deliveries a month per domain on every plan; add-ons for more storage or sending per domain |
| Migadu | One account | Unlimited | Unlimited | No enforced limit, even on Micro | Messages in and out per day, and soft storage, per account |
| Purelymail | One account | No hard limit | No hard limit | No hard limit | Soft: heavy use moves you to pay-per-resource pricing |
| Google Workspace | Each user | Up to 300 users on Business plans | 30 aliases per user | Up to 600 | Price per user; 30 GB pooled storage per user on Starter |
| Microsoft 365 | Each user | Up to 300 users on Business plans | 300 per mailbox | Not covered here | Price per user; 10,000 recipients a day per user |
| Zoho Mail | Each user | Any team size on paid plans; free plan up to 5 users | Aliases on every paid plan (no number on the pricing page) | Free plan: 1 | Price per user; 5 or 10 GB per user on Mail Lite |
| Fastmail | Each user | Per user | 600, plus 15 for every user | 100, plus 1 for every user (Standard and up) | Price per user; daily receiving limits per user |
| Proton Mail for Business | Each user | Per user | 10 or 20 per user | 3, 15 or 20 by plan | Price per user; addresses and domains capped by plan |

Competitors checked on 22 October 2026 on each provider's own pages; LotsMail checked on 26 October 2026. "Not covered here" means the pages I read didn't state it.
Unlimited mailboxes for one price
LotsMail
LotsMail charges per domain: Starter is $5 a month or $50 a year for 1 domain, Pro $20 or $200 for 5 domains, Business $60 or $600 for 20 domains. Mailboxes, addresses and teammates are unlimited on every plan, so a new hire or a new role address like support@ or invoices@ never changes the bill.
What each domain gets instead is a fixed allowance, the same on every plan:
- Shared storage: 10 GB per domain, used by every mailbox on the domain. Add-ons for more storage are on the pricing page.
- Outbound deliveries a month: 1,000 per domain. Each recipient counts once, so one email to three people is three deliveries. Add-ons for more sending are on the pricing page.
- A ramp for new domains: a new domain sends up to 100 a day for its first 14 days, and the allowance then grows with good delivery.
- Up to 50 recipients per message across To, Cc and Bcc.
Starter covers 1 domain, Pro 5 and Business 20, and each extra domain costs your plan's rate, with its own storage and sending allowance. LotsMail is normal business email: no bulk, marketing or cold email on any plan. Full numbers in LotsMail pricing explained.
What you give up today: mail apps over IMAP and SMTP are coming soon, importing old mail is planned with no date, and LotsMail has no calendar. LotsMail works in a full browser inbox on phone, tablet and desktop, and with ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client, where you choose read, draft or send for each mailbox.
Migadu
Migadu prices per account, not per mailbox: "An account may have unlimited mailboxes and addresses." Plans run from Micro at $19 a year to Maxi at $99 a month or $990 a year. The limits are per account and shared by every domain on it:
- Messages per day: Micro 200 in and 20 out, Mini 1,000 and 100, Standard 3,000 and 500, Maxi 10,000 and 2,000. Migadu allows up to 25% over before it defers incoming mail or rejects outgoing mail.
- Storage: 5 GB to 500 GB by plan, as soft limits; mail never bounces for a full mailbox.
- Domains: no enforced limit, even on Micro, though Migadu says it may ask you to upgrade if you have a lot of them. Its FAQ says many users are agencies hosting client domains.
Purelymail
Purelymail is $10 a year on its simple pricing, with "no hard limits. Not on users, custom domains, storage, or anything else." The catch it states: if you use significantly more than $10 a year in resources, you may need to switch to advanced pricing, where you pay per resource. It's the cheapest option here for many mailboxes, and a technical, self-serve one.
Unlimited users, each one paid for
Google Workspace
Every Business plan is priced per user: Business Starter is $7 a user a month with a one-year commitment. Business plans can be bought for a maximum of 300 users. Each user can have up to 30 email aliases at no extra cost, but only one user can receive mail sent to an alias, and an account can hold up to 600 domains. Starter includes 30 GB of pooled storage per user.
Microsoft 365
Business Basic is $7.00 a user a month paid yearly, or $8.40 on a monthly subscription, for up to 300 users. Exchange Online allows up to 300 aliases (proxy addresses) per mailbox and 10,000 recipients a day per user. Shared mailboxes need no licence up to 50 GB, but every person who opens one needs a licensed mailbox. I covered the shared-mailbox rules in LotsMail vs Microsoft 365.
Zoho Mail
Zoho's paid plans say "any team size", priced per user: Mail Lite is $1 a user a month with 5 GB or $1.25 with 10 GB, both billed yearly only. Every paid plan includes email aliases, domain aliases and email groups. The Forever Free plan hosts one domain for up to 5 users with 5 GB each and no IMAP, POP or ActiveSync; from the sixth user, all users move to a paid plan. For a handful of people, Zoho costs less than LotsMail; more in Zoho Mail alternatives.
Fastmail
Fastmail's business plans are per user: Basic $4 a month or $3 yearly, Standard $6 or $5, Professional $10 or $9. Its account limits page sets the caps for the whole account: 600 aliases plus 15 for every user, and on plans above Basic, 100 domains plus 1 for every user. The pricing page lists custom business addresses from Standard. Each user can receive 4,000, 8,000 or 80,000 messages a day depending on the plan.
Proton Mail for Business
Proton is per user: Mail Essentials $6.99 a month billed yearly, Workspace Standard $12.99, Workspace Premium $19.99. Each user gets 10 email addresses on Mail Essentials and 20 on the Workspace plans, and an organization can use 3, 15 or 20 custom domains depending on the plan.
Hostinger Mail
Hostinger prices per mailbox, each with its own limits: Starter has 5 GB, 5 email aliases and 5 forwarding rules; Standard 20 GB, 10 aliases and 20 rules; Premium 50 GB, 30 aliases and 50 rules. Its pricing page shows multi-year introductory prices, so I've left prices out; check the renewal price for your term before you buy.
Which kind of "unlimited" do you need?
- Many people or role addresses on one domain: one price per domain or per account (LotsMail, Migadu, Purelymail) keeps the bill flat as you hire. LotsMail adds shared inboxes with access per mailbox and an AI agent switch per mailbox; Migadu and Purelymail cost less and include mail apps today.
- Many client domains (agencies): check how storage and sending are shared. On Migadu and Purelymail one account's limits cover every client; on LotsMail each client domain has its own storage and sending allowance, and each client can have its own workspace. See the best email hosting for multiple domains.
- A few people who need a suite: per-user plans from Google, Microsoft or Zoho come with calendar, office apps and mail apps. Count the people you'll have in a year, not today; I worked through the numbers in what business email costs for a team of 10.
Whatever the provider calls unlimited, none of them allow bulk or marketing email from business mailboxes. Unlimited is about people and addresses, not volume.
FAQ
Which business email has unlimited accounts?
Among the providers I checked on 22 October 2026, LotsMail includes unlimited mailboxes, addresses and teammates per domain from $5 a month, Migadu unlimited mailboxes and addresses per account from $19 a year, and Purelymail no hard limit on users for $10 a year. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Fastmail, Proton and Hostinger charge per user or per mailbox.
Is unlimited business email really unlimited?
The number of mailboxes is, at the providers that offer it. The limits move elsewhere: LotsMail sets shared storage and monthly outbound deliveries per domain, Migadu sets messages per day and soft storage per account, and Purelymail moves heavy users to pay-per-resource pricing.
How many email aliases can I have in Google Workspace?
Up to 30 email aliases per user at no extra cost, according to Google's admin help. Only one user can receive mail sent to an alias, so for an address several people answer, use a shared inbox or a group instead.
How many users can Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 have?
Google Workspace Business plans can be bought for up to 300 users, and Microsoft 365 Business plans cover up to 300 users. Both charge for every user.
Does LotsMail charge for shared mailboxes like support@?
No. A shared mailbox is just another mailbox on the domain, and mailboxes are unlimited on every plan. You set who can read it, who can read and send, and who has full control.
Can I send newsletters from an unlimited email plan?
Not from LotsMail, and generally not from business mailboxes. LotsMail doesn't allow bulk, marketing or cold email on any plan, Purelymail's terms rule out marketing email, and Microsoft points high-volume senders to a separate service.
